Presence Medicine is a private-pay, supplemental aphasia practice offering house visits in Atherton, Hillsborough, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos Hills, and nearby Peninsula communities by inquiry.

Initial conversations are confidential and designed to determine fit, scope, timing, location, privacy needs, and coordination with the existing care team.

Inquiries are welcome from:

  • Spouses, partners, and adult children
  • Family offices, executive assistants, and chiefs of staff
  • Referring physicians and other clinicians
  • Professional care managers and advocates

What we discuss during intake

Initial conversations are designed to clarify:

  • The patient's clinical history at a high level
  • The current care team, including any SLP or rehabilitation support
  • The household or professional support environment around the patient
  • Communication needs and practical barriers
  • The goals of the patient and family
  • Location, travel, and visit-environment considerations
  • Privacy requirements
  • How Presence Medicine should fit alongside existing clinicians
  • Whether the practice appears to be a good fit

What happens next

  • We review the inquiry promptly and discreetly
  • We arrange a confidential conversation
  • If the practice seems appropriate, we discuss next steps
  • If it does not, we try to clarify that early and honestly
